Life Experiences
Experience has taught me one thing; that a lifetime of varied interests and dreams cannot always be bankrolled into a living. But as I go forth in my life I can look back at many accomplishments but am reminded of a plethora of things still to undertake.
I have always been a writer. I have used this talent in countless magazine and newspaper articles, radio and TV copy and scripts, my own radio shows and the creation of some great automobile road rallye events.
Ideally a blogger wants to limit his area of interest. That would be a problem, since my personal area of interests get in the way. Sports, Movies, Television, Politics, Life Lessons and more, I'm interested in all of them, and probably any new interest that will present itself to me in the future.
So in this blog, you may read a review of a product, film, music or book. You might read about how to run a road rallye, fly a kite or beat the dealer at '21'. You might get a cookie recipe, an opinion on politics or a short story. As someone once said, "the world is my oyster". Which is funny because I really hate oysters. Really hate them. Really. Although I never chatted with one personally.
There are also causes in need, from animals to children to senior citizens to curing a disease. I'm interested in those aspects of life too.
There could be great prose and poetry, retrospectives of things gone by and deliberate attempts to try and sway you into my way of thinking.
I might try my hand on writing about relationships, how people look like their dogs, why you cannot buy a Powerhouse candy bar anymore and where in the world is Waldo Really. Where is he?
I have won numerous writing awards and have been told that my style is easy to read, because I write as if I am talking to someone. Isn't that the point of writing, to establish a personal contact with the reader? I think so. Too many bloggers and writers in any media, write more for themselves than to try and engulf other people into their favorite subjects. Sometimes that creates feedback, and that's fine. I welcome feedback, arguments and even praise. Especially praise. "You are a genius, Dennis," always works.
So expect the unexpected, and don't be shocked by the opinions. They are just that. Opinions. Of course they are the right opinions, but I try not too be too vain or overbearing.
Blogging is fun. Hopefully I can entertain and educate as I do it. Stick with me, we have a a great ride coming. Oh, and advice on living a great and fulfilling life? Just ask. I will respond.
